50th Anniversary Collection: 1965

Soms is het even schrikken wanneer je in de ochtend van zo maar een zaterdag je mailbox bekijkt en het internet afstruint op zoek naar nieuws over Bob Dylan, zoals deze ochtend. Zowel mijn mailbox als het internet staan vol met het meest recente nieuws, en wat voor een nieuws!
Er is een 50th Anniversary Collection: 1965 verschenen. 



Eind 2012 werd 50th Anniversary Collection: 1962 verspreid door vier cd-r's in een zeer kleine oplage via een aantal winkels in Europa te koop aan te bieden.
Eind 2013 werd 50th Anniversary Collection: 1963 op zes elpees geperst en in een aantal Europese winkels verkocht.
Eind 2014 werd 50th Anniversary Collection: 1964 op negen elpees geperst - in een iets grotere oplage - en in een aantal Europese winkels verkocht.
Voor 50th Anniversary Collection: 1965 is - naar mijn smaak - een veel betere aanpak gekozen. Deze nieuwste uitgave is namelijk helemaal niet te koop, maar als download cadeau gedaan aan de kopers van The Cutting Edge 1965 - 1966: Collector's Edition. Een bijzonder mooi gebaar van Sony / Dylan waarbij het doel - het behouden van de copyrights over deze opnamen - behaald wordt zonder dat een product op de markt wordt gebracht waar dubieuze handelaren grof geld aan kunnen verdienen.
